In this episode Peter was reinstated and he learnt that he was forgiven.  Like Peter found it can be difficult to feel forgiven.  Take some chalk and write on the path outside (stay off the road!!) when it rains it will wash away and that is a picture of God forgiving us.  Even more than that the bible says God also forgets our sins!!!
